Wrap-up RC detail

Very cool JDM (small business) making some super realistic details for RC. Wrap-up. It gives that 3D look for super detail... I especially like the headlight/bulb treatment for the vintage cars. Wonder where I can get this stuff... http://wrapupnext.blog40.fc2.com/

Crazy RC bodies
I did the RC door openers back in the day, but after seeing this link, my friends at D-Style posted, I can honestly say this at another level! I love it.
Got to say customizing the bodies is half the fun of RC Drifting.

Equally Matched CS
I like this new video from Chance Circuit in Japan. It shows so many different CS Drift Chassis and they all seemed to be pretty equally matched now. I love it.
(But I don't know about the sound track for this video...It sounds like Weird Al to me. LOL!)

D-Like 10/40T CS Gear Set for project CS Driftmaster
On my last Arai session back in late Jan, I got project CS Driftmaster to handle pretty well with the D-Like 7deg. Caster blocks & 11T Gear and billet ring gear spacer. The way I calculate it, it works out to a Front to Back Gear 1.55 ratio. (see set up at CSJunkies.com) Grip was very good, but CS could be better.
This being said, I finally decided to try out the new D-Like billet Alum. 10/40 CS gear set. This thing is massive! The thick ring gear seems like it will be like a heavy flywheel for the front 1-way. With this set up it works out to be a 1.70 (which I am guessing 1.6-1.7 is ideal for CS)
I am hoping to really improve the drift angle with this.
Here is it installed...

So far it seems pretty good. For sure the back is looser, but just driving it around the garage it seems like it could be very good when tuned up. I can't wait to try it out at Arai, but well have to see when I can make it overthere again. (since I now live about 1.5hr away)
Here is the previous gear set and what the gears look like before they are installed.

Drift Racing
Not Counterster, but kind of interesting. Racing with RC drift cars.
It's so different when you want to pass the other cars.

Welcome myself back...
Ha ha, I have been on vacation for a while, but now that I am back, it seems there are so many cool parts that have come in. Can't wait to check them all out.
But in the meantime. Here is a really cool link, fellow Team Arai member Masa found on youtube.

Yokomo D-Max?
While doing my Japanese RC web surfing, I found this blog that had some info on a front engine shaft drive drifter from Yokomo. Seems like it is kind of a hybrid of a Yokomo B-max AWD off road racer and a standard Yokomo Driftpackage. Not sure if it is a custom deal or maybe a sneak peek at what might be coming. But either way look pretty promising. Not sold on the saddle pack batteries, but the steering kind of looks like the old Rayspeed steering, which has a lot of lock. Check it out....
I hope they also come out with some over/underdrive options too!
